So how does air pollution affect snoring?
As you know by now (if you have read any of the other articles on this site), snoring is usually caused by the narrowing and restrictions of the airways. During the daytime and other times when are wide awake, the natural action of our body keeps the airways fully open. But when we sleep, the airways in our throat become relaxed will usually causes the airways to narrow and in some cases, become restricted. Any instruments which help clean the air around you, such as air purfiers, can help. Air purifiers can help clean the air particle which causes allergies. It’s no fun for someone who has a snoring problem to catch a cold on top of everything else. And for the people around the sufferer who can just about take the normal snore noise, imagine the added noise when a cold (which usually restricts breathing) makes the airways even more restricted.
The type of air purifier you need to look to own is one with a humidifier also on it. This will allow you to add eucalyptus to be distributed through the air. This will aid in keeping the airways open which in turn, lessen the snoring noises.
This may not be a cure for snoring but it will definitely help.
